What we do

Four service lines, one point of contact.

Everything here is planned and dispatched from Saint Joseph. The trip that needs an itinerary is usually the same trip that needs a hundred miles of ground at the end of it.

01

Corporate and executive travel

Business itineraries, corporate accounts, roadshows, and the executive transfer at the end of them. O’Hare is 2 hr 20 min from your driveway, and we start the clock there.

  • Chicago axis, 1 hr 40 min
  • Roadshows and multi-stop plant visits
  • Client and VIP movement

02

Luxury family travel

Resorts, cruises, multigenerational trips, and the school-break weeks that sell out first. One planner, one point of contact, and plans confirmed in writing before anything is booked.

  • Three households, one itinerary
  • School-break and holiday weeks
  • Cruises and resort stays

03

Private ground transport and chauffeur

Black-car runs to South Bend, Kalamazoo, Midway and O’Hare, event and wedding transport, Lake Michigan Shore wine-country afternoons, and hourly as-directed service.

  • Hourly, as-directed
  • Wine-country afternoons

04

  • Guest shuttles and rehearsal runs
  • Arrivals across four airports
  • Destination weddings and honeymoons

Airports and drive times

Airports, and how long they actually take.

Saint Joseph has no commercial airport of its own. These five destinations are what decide the time the car has to be in your driveway.

Typical drive times from Saint Joseph, Michigan
Destination Distance Typical drive
South Bend International (SBN)34 mi48 min
Kalamazoo/Battle Creek International (AZO)51 mi57 min
Chicago Midway (MDW)95 mi2 hr

Times are typical and without traffic. We plan to the flight, not to the average.

Private aircraft

Private aircraft come into Southwest Michigan Regional (BEH), a general aviation field about two miles northeast of downtown Benton Harbor. It has a main runway just over 6,000 feet and no scheduled airline traffic to queue behind.

Rail

The train leaves once in the morning and comes back once at night.

Amtrak’s Pere Marquette line stops at the St. Joseph–Benton Harbor station (SJM). It runs one round trip a day: out early, back late. Your two o’clock in the Loop does not care about that.

Two audiences

Who this is for.

Business travel and family travel are different jobs. We do both, and we do not pretend they are the same job.

Business travelers

Whirlpool Corporation’s world headquarters is in adjacent Benton Harbor. LECO Corporation’s world headquarters is here in St. Joseph, with more than 25 offices around the world. Corewell Health and the Berrien County administration centre and courthouse are in town as well.

The city reports its population nearly triples on a working weekday. Those organisations bring people in from outside the region, and everyone who lands at O’Hare still has 113 miles to go.

Families

School-break weeks book first and release last. A February trip planned in January is a different trip from the same February trip planned in October.

Multigenerational travel is the hard case: three households, three budgets, one itinerary, and one person answering the phone. The same is true in miniature of the shore-house weekend, where the whole product is the Friday pickup and the Sunday return. Harbor Country runs south from here through New Buffalo, Union Pier, Lakeside, Harbert, Sawyer, Three Oaks, Grand Beach and Michiana.

Process

How a booking goes.

Three steps. Nothing is booked until you have said yes to it in writing.

Tell us the trip

Dates, party size, where you are starting and where you are going. A phone number and an approximate date are enough to start.

We plan it and confirm it in writing

One point of contact for the whole trip. You get the detail in a single document you can forward to whoever signs off on it.

We drive, or we dispatch

Vehicle and driver are confirmed to you ahead of the pickup day, so nothing about the morning is a surprise.

Owner to confirm

Step three is written as “we drive, or we dispatch” because the operating model is not settled yet. Confirm whether the work runs on owned vehicles, on named affiliates, or on both, then fix the wording here and on the about page. Delete this block once it is settled.

Standards

What we commit to.

Four things that happen on every booking, written as actions rather than adjectives, so you can hold us to them.

Flights watched, not assumed

We follow the inbound flight and move the pickup time to match it. You should not have to call us from the jet bridge to say the gate changed.

One number, one person

The person who quotes the trip is the person who confirms it, and the person who answers when the flight moves. There is no queue to be handed along.

Vehicle confirmed before the day

You know what is arriving and who is driving before the pickup date, not on the morning of it.

The quoted number is the number

No surge, no peak multiplier, no rate that moves because the day turned out to be busy. If the trip itself changes, we requote it and tell you before anything runs.

Reviews go here

Owner action required

Replace this block with one real client review, with the client’s first name and town, and their permission to publish it. Or delete this entire section before launch. Do not put a made-up quote here.

Within an hour

What’s within an hour of here.

The shore is the first thing. Berrien County holds 42 miles of Lake Michigan shoreline, and two lighthouses stand on the North Pier here with the elevated catwalk between them. Silver Beach, the Silver Beach Carousel and Lake Bluff Park are within a few blocks of each other.

Inland is the Lake Michigan Shore AVA, the wine country of Southwest Michigan. An afternoon out there is a car and a driver, and nobody at the table working out who stays sober.

Harbor Shores in Benton Harbor is a Jack Nicklaus course that hosted the Senior PGA Championship six times between 2012 and 2024.

The year has a rhythm rather than a calendar. Blossomtime comes in spring, established in 1906 and billed as Michigan’s oldest and largest multi-community festival. The Krasl Art Fair on the Bluff takes over Lake Bluff Park in July.

Then the fall. Notre Dame Stadium holds more than 77,000, and a night kickoff puts that crowd on the road near midnight. South Bend is 48 minutes away, which is a held car rather than a rental.

The North Pier lights and the catwalk, from Lake Bluff Park.

Why here

A Chicago car service starts the clock in Chicago.

A Chicago operator quotes 2 hr 20 min to O’Hare and starts the meter when the car leaves Chicago. We start ours in your driveway. On a 5 a.m. pickup out of Stevensville, that is the difference between a car that is there and a car that is coming.

Questions

Questions people ask before they book.

O’Hare is 113 miles from Saint Joseph and about 2 hr 20 min. Midway is 95 miles and about two hours. Downtown Chicago is 96 miles and about 1 hr 40 min. All typical, without traffic; the full table is further up this page.

A one-way transfer is a normal booking. So is a round trip. So is hourly as-directed work, where the car and the driver stay with you for a block of time and the plan can change without being requoted. A single run to South Bend is as welcome as a two-week itinerary.

Both, and here that matters more than it would elsewhere. The trip that needs an itinerary usually needs 113 miles of ground at the end of it. Booking the flights and arranging the car at the same desk means one person knows what time you actually have to leave the house.

Yes. Waterfront weddings on the harbor, guest shuttles between the venue and lodging, rehearsal-dinner runs, late-night returns, and corporate offsites where arrivals are spread across four airports. Group work is quoted differently from a single transfer, and the detail is on the groups, weddings and events section.

We follow the inbound flight and move the pickup to match it, so you are not calling us from the jet bridge. What we watch, when we adjust, and who calls whom is set out in full on what happens when a flight is late. If the trip is still being planned, send it through the quote form and we will build the buffer in from the start.

Next step

Tell us where you’re going.

Dates, party size, and the airport. That is enough to start.
